Chat

Rule	Retail	Here
Normal chat	Open from level 1.	Needs level 40 (VIP players are exempt).
Private messages	You can whisper anyone.	Whispers only reach players in the same instance.
Shout (!)	Open to everyone in your region.	Server-wide, and it needs 10 or more PvP kills or VIP.
Trade (+)	Open to everyone in your region.	Server-wide, and it needs Noblesse or VIP.
Offensive names and cheaters	Petition a GM.	Report them with .report. If staff rule that a name is not allowed, that character must pick a free new name and cannot trade or use public chat until it does.
Chat moderation	No automatic filter.	Casual swearing is only censored. Insulting someone's family, wishing someone dead and slurs are blocked and punished: warning first, then chat ban and jail.
